DΩME
The DΩME is a wearable, extra-ordinary and fashionable resin piece of jewellery embedded with electronics. This functional artwork is attractive to people who want an individually crafted, versatile and eye-catching piece of fashion jewellery. It pulses with a gentle and uniform glow when the light is turned on. Alternatively it can be displayed as a standalone artwork on furniture, a table or a wall, and create a great conversation piece.
The DΩME is pleasant to the eye and to the touch, with its velvety smooth dome.
The DΩME was developed for Vivid Sydney and presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, at the special invitation of ARTeConnect who commissioned Rita to develop this concept for the SARTorial event of 16 June 2018.
Materials: Resin, leather/suede ord, RGB LED lights, Lipo battery 500m Ah, Lipo Charger, switch, Trinket MCU.
The DΩME is rechargeable (via a concealed USB connector), has an on-off switch and a leather or suede strap at the back.
